January 19th, 2012: Milford Sounds
Actually it is Milford Fiords, sounds are made by rivers, fiords are made by glaciers. Little trivia for you!
So on our way from Te Anau to Milford Sound, the drive was absolutely breathtaking. We would drive a couple of kilometers and stop and take pictures all the way there. It was also starting to rain, so it made for some great water fall pictures and some chilly weather. Who knew it was pretty much a rain forest and one of the wettest places in the world?
We stayed one night in Milford Sound, not much to the town and only two hotels. The weather was wet and cold too... we ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the camper van because there wasn't anywhere else. I managed to bring some instant Starbucks coffee too... our little camper van was the bomb!

Homer's Tunnel, one direction at a time, kind of creepy! Something like, a mile of rock above the tunnel?
