january 5th- one year wedding anniversary
one year ago today... where did you think you would be?
i asked dirk this questions on our one year anniversary at dinner in cambodia... he said, "honestly, i thought we would have been in houston and i would be bringing flowers up to the hospital while you worked the night shift"... BUT look at us now... we were in a third world country eating what we thought was steak... and still do to this day... on one of the most adventurous, different, inspiring vacations ever (well at least i thought so... i think dirk liked it as well)
well, one year married, one year older, and one year wiser... i can't believe what a long road it has been but i would not have wanted it any other way (well... maybe a couple of things)
may 2001- first laid eyes on each other
feb 2002- first valentines day dinner at messina hof winery
feb 2007- engaged
jan 2008- married at messina hof winery
jan 2009- one year later in singapore
can't wait for what the future will bring...
i think this picture is a great metaphor of our past, present, and future life together... it maybe a crazy sea but one thing always stands firm... love!
